2010 Opti Nationals
Twelve sailors from Glendowie, together with coaches Ben Lowe & Frankie Lardies, spent Easter at Whitianga for the 2010 Optimist National Championship. Seven Green Fleet and five Open Fleet sailors all did well with many recording excellent results.

The final placings were:
Open: JJ Marie 71st, Henry Haslett 106th, Stephanie Kirkman 125th, Loius Mayo 142nd, Katie Todd 180th
Green: George Kirkman 11th, Henry Luke 34th, Dominic Devine 40th, Cooper Hopman 42nd, Pierre Gartenbach 76th, Donald Mayo 79th, Brittany Glanfield 85th

Coaches excel at Piedy World ChampsThe Pied Piper World Championships were held over the weekend of the 1st May with Ben, Kate, and Frankie finishing in first place with fellow coaches Josh, Tom, and Ben second. 2009-10 Club ChampsThe 2009-10 Club Championship Series was held on 21st March with 4 races held in light winds.
